Matt Stone is an American animator, writer, producer, and actor. He is best known as the co-creator of the animated television series South Park with Trey Parker.

Stone and Parker met in the third grade and began collaborating on short films and musical productions. They attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where they continued to develop their creative partnership. After graduation, they moved to Los Angeles and created the short film Jesus vs. Frosty, which gained attention and led to the development of South Park for the Comedy Central network.

South Park premiered in 1997 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. The series is known for its satirical humor, irreverent tone, and willingness to tackle controversial topics. Stone and Parker have won numerous awards for their work, including Peabody Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. They have also directed and produced feature films, including South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut and Team America: World Police.
